A different kind of “full”
Before March 15, 2020, Sunday mornings were full. Our buildings were full of people; our sanctuary was full of music; our schedule was full with 9am contemporary worship and 11am traditional worship, not to mention early morning prayer and mid-morning refreshments and multiple Sunday School classes.
We miss that fullness, and we can’t wait until the day when we swing the doors open wide without a worry about COVID-19!
But God has a way of using all things for good.
Since March 15th, our Sunday mornings are much quieter – but they are still “full.” Full of the Holy Spirit, who we pray will bless and work through our livestream worship. Full of prayers said for each other. Full of quiet space where we might be a little more still and know more fully that God is God (Psalm 46).
Part of the good that God is doing now is an opportunity to worship in a different way – a way that perhaps our souls really need.
Every Wednesday evening at 5:30pm we’re gathering in small groups of 20 in our Christian Life Center (gym) for a “vespers” service. Sitting in a circle, we share our struggles and our God-moments before celebrating communion together. We hope that this time of worship together is a meaningful compliment to the livestream worship experience.
Because of COVID-19, we require that anyone attending wear masks and maintain social distancing (chairs will be set 6 feet apart). Communion elements (bread and juice) are pre-packaged for sanitation. We will do a wellness and temperature check at the door.
To ensure the proper group size, RSVP ahead of time is required. Please make just one reservation a month to allow others space to come. Click below to reserve your spot:
