Everyone is welcome!

First United Methodist Church of Sylva invites you, your family, and friends, to attend any or all of our Sunday worship services. Upon entering, greeters will give you a Sunday Worship Bulletin and are ready to answer any questions you may have. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee, hot tea or hot chocolate in the Asbury Room before or after our two worship services. We provide child care from 9 a.m. until noon. Our nursery accommodates babies from crib age to 3 years.

Every 5th Sunday, at 10 am we come together for a ONE Worship service. During this time, we enjoy worship led by both our Praise Band and Chancel Choir.  Please check the Events Calendar page for details and upcoming services.

Praise and worship our Lord with contemporary music in our Christian Life Center. Take a different approach in relating to God and the Gospel message with video projections and upbeat music provided by our talented Praise Band. 

No matter what service you choose to attend, we offer a variety of Sunday School options to help you dive deeper into your relationship with Christ.

We come together in the Sanctuary to praise God for His greatness and to celebrate the good news of His love for us. Our senior pastor preaches and music is provided with organ and piano along with vocal solos, our Wesley Vocal Band, Men's Chorus, and the Chancel Choir.
